Jane's Inspiration: Each September, one of the best Jazz festivals in the world comes to Monterey California. One unforgettable year, amidst the awesome array of jazz, Jane had the chance to sit in an intimate theater and listen as jazz legend Lionel Hampton shared stories from his youth in Chicago, her hometown. As Lionel reminisced about jamming with iconic figures like Charlie "Yardbird" Parker, the energy in the room was electric. He shared how Charlie would often drop by, sit on the stoop and they'd jam together. These stories - rich with history, music, and soul - sparked the inspiration for Coolblues.
